Thameside Fire Protection
Thameside is a family-run fire protection company. The website has to explain a wide set of services, from sprinkler systems and alarms to training, and give a business a clear way to ask for a quote.
The work
I built the site in WordPress with a custom theme and reusable content blocks, so a new service page can be put together without starting from a blank layout. Enquiries come in through Gravity Forms, and the team can update the copy themselves.
The technical work
Custom WordPress theme, a content-blocks plugin, PHP, Gravity Forms and Rank Math. The public site covers the services, news and contact details.

KPJ Electrical Services
KPJ is a family electrical business in Swindon. The site needs to show the work, from rewires and consumer units to EV chargers and inspections, and let someone request an estimate.
The work
I built the WordPress site around those services, with an about page, customer testimonials and an estimate form. It uses a block theme, so the pages stay straightforward to edit.
The technical work
WordPress, a block theme, and the pages and form the business actually uses: services, testimonials and a request for an estimate. Rank Math handles the search setup.

Tom Crowe Digital
Tom is a freelance SEO consultant. His work often needs development as well as search: new pages, template changes and fixes on WordPress sites that are already live.
The work
I take the WordPress development. That includes his own site and development tasks that come out of the SEO work. I work from his brief and hand the changes back so he can keep the client relationship.
The technical work
WordPress, PHP, and changes to themes and templates on sites that stay live while the work is done.
The wider work
These three sites are examples. The same kind of development applies to other WordPress builds, shops and agency projects.
WordPress development
Most of the work is a WordPress site that already exists, or a new one that has to be straightforward for the owner to use. I build pages, change themes and templates, and add functionality the current site does not have.
The technical work
WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I work inside an established theme or codebase, and I agree what done looks like before I start. If the honest answer is to repair the current site rather than replace it, that is what I will say.
WooCommerce and business websites
Business sites need to take an enquiry or an order, and stay simple enough for the owner to update. Some of this is a new build. A lot of it is a change to a shop that is already taking orders, or a retainer that keeps the site secure and fast enough.
The technical work
WordPress and WooCommerce: products, checkout, delivery and payment. The build is PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Where the site needs it, I also look after the hosting: updates, backups and performance.
Agency development support
Studios sometimes have more development than the team in the room can cover. The client and the brief stay with the agency. I join the project they already have and hand the work back in a state their team can keep running.
The technical work
WordPress and PHP development, implementing a design they supply, custom functionality, and fixes on a live site. I work from their brief, or help define the technical work when the brief is still loose. You liaise with me.
